Back when I had time on my hands I wrote a chat program. I used the IRC’s to connect.
The program still works. If you understand the IRC you can download the program here, it’s
full featured, many options and easy to understand and setup. This hasn’t been updated in 15 years
I now spend my time writing code for web pages, chat programs do no put money in my wallet.

The latest version I made was 2003, this will install on Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, and most likely 10
but the built in mIRC is a very old version and most likely will not connect to the servers on Windows versions after VIsta because of newer security requirements, or your router may block it, but I will keep the downloads here for nostalgic purposes.
